MOBILE PHONE TOWER INFORMATION

After careful consideration the Willunga Recreation Park Inc. Management Committee has entered into an agreement with Ventia Australia, who act on behalf of Optus, for the erection of a phone tower on its land.

As part of this agreement we have:

  • Considered the impact of the tower visually and ensured that the site will be landscaped effectively (Council approved) to minimise this impact
  • Considered potential risks and sought advice from both Ventia and the Education Department to ensure all risks are considered (their responses are available on our website)
  • Received consent from Plan SA and the Onkaparinga Council to proceed with installation
  • Considered the benefits to local communication networks in having a tower which efficiently services our town and ensures reliable phone coverage
  • Considered the financial benefit to WRP and lessened demand on volunteers to continually fund maintenance and improvement of these community facilities.

If you would like further information regarding the installation please follow the links to further documents #1 #2 #3, or email Willunga Recreation Park: [email protected]
