 Help us give the Park a 150th birthday present – a brand new picket fence around the oval.

This will replace the “nearly 150 year old” galvanised pipe fence and make it safer and more attractive for all users and become something we can really be proud of!

You can give us a present by donating:

  • a picket or a number of pickets @ $50 each, 
  • a panel of 17 pickets @ $750, 
  • or half of a panel consisting of 8 Pickets for $400.

To thank you for your donation (and the birthday present) we will place an acknowledgement plaque on each picket or panel as they are installed around the oval.

The plaque can be a personal name or a business name – your choice.

Donation Process Overview

Tax deductible donation

 If you would like your donation to be tax deductible, you will be directed to the Australian Sports Foundation(ASF) website via the Australian Sports Foundation logo to the right. Willunga Recreation Park has established a payment process with the ASF so that your donation towards our Birthday Fence can be tax deductible.

 

Once your donation has been processed by the ASF you will be emailed a tax invoice. The donation money and your details will be forwarded to Willunga Recreation Park by ASF.

How do I make a donation?

To make a donation, select whether you want a tax-deductible or non-tax-deductible option and follow the instructions on this page. You can choose to donate a picket, a panel, or half a panel.

Can I choose the name on the plaque?

Yes, you can choose either a personal name or a business name to be displayed on the plaque. You can also have a logo on your plaque which acknowledges a club or organisation you support.

We will contact you for your naming preferences after your donation is confirmed.

When will the pickets be installed?

The pickets and panels will be installed around the oval after the completion of the 2026 football season. The unveiling will coincide with our 150th Birthday celebrations.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Donations can be tax-deductible if processed through the Australian Sports Foundation. You will receive a tax invoice upon completion of your donation.

What happens after I donate?

After your donation is processed, we will reach out to confirm the naming details for your picket or panel.

You will also receive an invitation to the unveiling ceremony. 

The unveiling will be at our 150th birthday celebration in October.

After You donate

  1. Once we have received confirmation of your donation we will contact you to obtain details of your naming requirements for the pickets or panel.
  2. The pickets and panels will be installed around the oval on the completion of the football season. They will be unveiled at WRP’s proposed 150th Birthday celebrations after the installation has been completed. You will be invited!
  3. WRP cannot guarantee where you picket/panel will be situated around the oval.
